Melissa Willis
Hello! My name is Melissa Willis, and I am the founder of Women of Verve. I am first and foremost a daughter of the King, wife to my husband Troy, mom to five amazing adult children, and MiMi to eight wonderful grandchildren who bring so much joy to our lives.
Women of Verve was born from a deep desire to see women encounter God in powerful and personal ways while growing in their faith and walking boldly in the calling He has placed on their lives. Creating spaces where women can worship, be encouraged, and pursue Jesus together has become one of the greatest passions of my life.
Before launching Women of Verve, I served in full time vocational ministry within the local church in pastoral care, prayer, and baptism coordination. During that season, the Lord began stirring something deeper in my heart and preparing me to step into women’s ministry leadership.
In 2019, after stepping away from vocational ministry, God began breathing life into a dream that had been growing in my heart. I invited a small group of women to Mo Ranch for a weekend retreat simply to see what God would do among us. That gathering became the very first Women of Verve Retreat.
Since then, Women of Verve has grown into a vibrant ministry that hosts annual retreats, monthly gatherings, special events, and Bible studies designed to encourage women to pursue Jesus with vigor, spirit, and passion. One of the greatest joys of this journey has been watching God raise up incredible leaders from within the community and seeing women step confidently into their purpose.
Outside of ministry, I work as a professional bookkeeper and enjoy capturing life’s special moments through photography. But above all, my heart remains committed to encouraging women to grow in their faith and live fully surrendered to the work God is doing in and through them.
At the end of the day, my greatest desire is simple: to live a life that honors the Lord and to one day hear the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
